Effective August 7, 2026No account required
MemoEcho does not operate its own user account server for your learning data.
No tracking
No ads, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking, or sale of personal data.
Your Apple services
iCloud, StoreKit, biometrics, notifications, and Watch connectivity are handled by Apple systems.
Data stored by MemoEcho
MemoEcho stores the information needed to provide its features, including:
- Learning queues, projects, tags, notes, review schedules, and review history.
- Pomodoro settings and session state.
- Archive, trash, display, theme, and other app settings.
- Local diagnostic records such as app events, error details, device installation identifier, app version, build number, and operating system version.
This information may include personal content if you choose to enter it into MemoEcho.
Where data is kept
On your devices. MemoEcho uses local storage, including Core Data and shared App Group storage, so the app, widgets, and related components can work.
In your private iCloud account. When iCloud sync is available, MemoEcho uses Apple CloudKit to synchronize your data between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. MemoEcho does not operate a separate cloud account server for this data.
Between iPhone and Apple Watch. MemoEcho uses Apple Watch connectivity to send the paired watch the learning, Pomodoro, subscription entitlement, theme, and diagnostic information needed by the watch app and widgets.
Tracking and third parties
MemoEcho does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or third-party crash reporting. It does not sell your data and does not use your learning data for targeted advertising.
These support and privacy pages do not add analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
Purchases
MemoEcho Pro purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. MemoEcho receives purchase entitlement information so it can unlock Pro features.
MemoEcho does not receive or store your payment card number. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions and system features
- Biometrics: If you enable app lock, Face ID or Touch ID authentication is performed by the operating system. MemoEcho does not receive biometric data.
- Notifications: If you allow notifications, MemoEcho uses system notifications for features such as Pomodoro alerts. Notification permission can be changed in system settings.
- iCloud: iCloud access is used to synchronize app data through CloudKit when available.
Diagnostics and support
MemoEcho keeps limited diagnostic records locally to help identify launch, sync, Watch, Pomodoro, and error conditions. Apple Watch diagnostic records may be transferred to the paired iPhone so you can export one support file.
MemoEcho does not automatically send these diagnostic files to us. You choose whether to export, review, and share them.
If you contact support, we receive the email address and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request and handle the related support issue.
Your choices
- You can edit, archive, trash, delete, import, or export learning data using MemoEcho's controls.
- You can manage iCloud, notifications, and biometric permissions in Apple system settings.
- When iCloud sync is enabled, changes and deletions may synchronize to your other signed-in devices.
- Removing MemoEcho removes local app data from that device. Data already stored in iCloud may remain in your private iCloud account until it is removed through the app or applicable Apple account controls.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when MemoEcho's features, data handling, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
